The vans have a refrigeration unit in the cargo area with a controller in the main cabin on the main dashboard. Please see the manual to learn how to operate it.

If needed, please contact the service department at Merdeces-Benz of Chandler (844) 211-5748. You may also use the Emergency button on the overhead control panel of the vehicle.

How to fuel up:

If the metal flap in the gas opening does not flip up and allow the nozzle to go in try another station, it’s a matter of the size of the fuel nozzle, not an issue with the car.

All drivers must be added to our policy before driving the vehicle. Only the vehicle is covered under insurance and the driver or passengers are not covered. Personal belongings and other items left in the vehicle at any time are not covered. The insurance card will be located in the storage compartment behind the steering wheel.

Van height and clearance precautions:

Vans are taller and wider than personal vehicles so please review these precautions:

Size
The vans are about 11gt tall so consider height restrictions when driving. Check clearance signs, so you know whether you can squeeze into that mult-storey car park or not.

Vans are wider, longer and higher than a car, which makes them more susceptible to high winds. When coming out from under an underpass, anticipate the wind may “move” the van. Keep both hands on the steering wheel.

Remember, there’s much more vehicle behind you compared to what you’re used to. Again, it’s all about observation. If in doubt, slow down or come to a complete stop to assess any obstacles and be careful not to take corners too quickly.

When turning a corner, you must make a wider swing with a van than you would with a car.
Consequently, on a right turn, it’s necessary to watch the right outside mirrors for small vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, and pedestrians. Van

Drivers Use turn signals well in advance. Make turns more slowly than you would with a car. Due to the van’s wider turning radius, a “U” turn may require you to make at least one backward movement.

Weight
Vans are heavier than a car, especially when loaded with cargo. When pulling out in traffic, allow more distance to compensate for a van’s slower acceleration. Similarly, allow a generous buffer space and increase your following distance to allow for increased braking distance

Center of Gravity
Vans have a higher center of gravity, which can cause them to tp more easily. Use caution when entering or exiting a highway.

How to be a courteous and safe driver:

There are several additional factors to take into account with these larger vehicles, please review these tips to help you be safer.

What will happen if unsafe driving or operating is reported to Pinnacle Prevention:

The first time we will work with the Renter to correct the issue. A second report will require the Renter to return the vehicle to Pinnacle Prevention immediately.

Safe handling of food during distribution:

Please refer to the following for a list of food handling tips. Please bear in mind the vans’ cargo area needs to be cooled before it’s loaded for it to be at a safe temperature to transport food.
